One of our more memorable new home construction projects was the second waterfront home built in Bowleys Quarters.  The family was so impressed with another house built around the corner from theirs, they fully entrusted us in the spring of 2007 to design and build the home of their dreams.  That summer their existing house, which was becoming prone to flooding and weather damage, was demolished and the foundation of their new house was laid.

The exterior features three areas to enjoy the beautiful waterfront of the Chesapeake Bay: an open porch, a screened in porch, and a second floor balcony above the screened in porch.  Cedar Impressions siding and vinyl carpentry complete the exterior without the hassle of yearly maintenance from the damaging effects of waterfront living.  The main focal point of the interior of the home is a unique accent wall in the great room.  We designed this wall to look like an exterior wall complete with clapboard siding and one dimensional stone chimney.  At the base of the chimney sits a wood stove.

This project brought more than just a home that their family can enjoy for generations to come.  A new found friendship was built between Stillwater and this family which served as the catalyst for the relationship we now have with Cangene bioPharma, Inc.
